Will a 1949 plymouth 4 door hood fit a 1950 plymouth suburban 2 door wagon?

According to my 1955 Motor's Parts guide:

under Frame Ass'y lists:

49-50 p17 and p19 as not interchangeable with suburban

the 49-50 p18 and p20 are interchangeable

Hood top panel is different from 49 to 50 (no difference listed between models, just years), as well as hood front molding, but the hood top center molding is the same.

Just in case you come across a listing by part numbers...

1949 Hood Panel, Section 15-03-3 ...Part number 1239 965

1950 Hood Panel, Secion 15-03-3 ...part number 1335 263

I suspect it would fit but the hood ornaments are different and probably have different holes etc

The '49 and '50 noses are interchangeable as units. Hoods and fenders will interchange, but a number of differences and trim modifications will make substitution of '49 components for those of the '50 difficult

First thing...........thank you to all who answered.............Now for the big question.........I just need the hood to fit the car. The moldings etc are not important as the hood just needs to fit between the fenders and latch correctly.So will it fit is the question?

the metal panel will swap over..the 50 fender has hood lip extenders per side..am sure that if you put the 49 hood on you would want to eliminate these..not sure if they would look right as the 49 lip is shorter and higher..
