aero3113 Posted April 18, 2009 Report Posted April 18, 2009 I saw a video on this car,it has rubberized paint on it like rhino liner. Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted April 18, 2009 Report Posted April 18, 2009 Yea......the name is "Orange Ruffy".......it's been around for a while, now. Someone had an idea how to make it different. Quote
Norm's Coupe Posted April 18, 2009 Report Posted April 18, 2009 I first saw that car and took a picture of it in 1994. It was at the NSRA meet in Louisville, KY that year. It's been all over and in several magazine articles since. The owner lives in northern Illinois. Quote
Fireball Posted April 18, 2009 Report Posted April 18, 2009 I'd sure like to peel that fruit. Not my cup of tea. Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted April 18, 2009 Report Posted April 18, 2009 I'd sure like to peel that fruit. Not my cup of tea. We still talking about the car..right? Quote
Frank Elder Posted April 18, 2009 Author Report Posted April 18, 2009 No parking lot dings to worry about, I wonder how much weight the liner adds to the car? Quote
Frank Elder Posted April 18, 2009 Author Report Posted April 18, 2009 I like Fireball's orange bizzy, but couldn't find a photo to compare with. Quote
Shifticus Posted April 18, 2009 Report Posted April 18, 2009 Yeesh! good luck to the next bodyman... Quote
cwcars88 Posted April 19, 2009 Report Posted April 19, 2009 Had a guy in town that sprayed rhino liner on a rodded model "A", the body was in such bad shape the rubber liner was all that held it together. Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted April 19, 2009 Report Posted April 19, 2009 I kinda like this one Frankie......were there any more pictures of it? Quote

hkestes41 Posted April 19, 2009 Report Posted April 19, 2009 Saw one of these yesterday at Home Depot. It was silver with the lower body clading and hood inset done in red Rhino Liner. Quote
PatS.... Posted April 19, 2009 Report Posted April 19, 2009 Saw one of these yesterday at Home Depot. It was silver with the lower body clading and hood inset done in red Rhino Liner. That looks OK, by the way...that colour is called black here in Canada. Must be metric colours here!!! Quote
Frank Elder Posted April 19, 2009 Author Report Posted April 19, 2009 Thank's Fireball I'll add those to my collection of coupe pictures! Any bumper in the near future or are you going for a different look? Quote
Fireball Posted April 20, 2009 Report Posted April 20, 2009 Front bumper I have already in my possession Frankie, it'll be installed during the rebuild I'm doing. Color will change also, but I might keep it orange still just a different tone, pearl and clear perhaps. Mainly the basic looks will remain, just redo everything better, new interior, drivetrain etc. Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted April 20, 2009 Report Posted April 20, 2009 Oh yes, I remember that one now. Couldn't tell if dodge or plym in the picture presented from the rear. I remember those weird flames on the front. Quote
dezeldoc Posted April 20, 2009 Report Posted April 20, 2009 [quote=BobT-47P15;129886 I remember those weird flames on the front. Yeh get rid of those and it would not be to bad! Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted April 20, 2009 Report Posted April 20, 2009 along with the painted trim, taillights and the skirts..just don't look right..maybe it is the color... Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted April 20, 2009 Report Posted April 20, 2009 I like the skirts and wire wheels.......even the orange, minus the flames, wouldn't be too bad. But would like the chrome and stainless trim to be shiny as they are supposed to be. Quote
NatesSedan Posted April 21, 2009 Report Posted April 21, 2009 Hey fellas, Long time no talk! Saw the thread and thought I should throw this one up one more time since it fit the thread. As a reminder this is my father in laws P-15 we painted in "suede" awhile back. It hasn't changed much since then as we have been working on his '38 Plymouth most of the winter. We did however get the new window rubber, channels, and sweepers put in today. We have a show in a few weeks we are going to go out to so we thought it would be nice for him to have some windows. =) Quote
Fireball Posted April 21, 2009 Report Posted April 21, 2009 Found one more orange from my archive Quote
