Only 10 days til the Clements BBQ! The weather has been pretty nice and spring is definatley here. Remember, if you have a RV or trailer and want to spent the night before or after, its fine by me.

There's a few Pilothouse owners in the area I didnt know about, who saw the flyer and are going to be here. One man I've been tryin' to get a hold of is a local rancher who bought his 48PH in 1948, and still uses it as a daily driver.

Hope everyone can make it!:D

I'll be there. I also got in touch with Charlie and he'll be there (he's the guy with the red and white hemi-powered '51. Also, I dropped a flyer off at Elk Grove Radial Tire Service. John, the owner, has a B3C flatbed. Fianlly, I'm trying to get my neighbor to come. He just finished a '48 Ford flatbed and has several old Dodges sittin' around his place.

Is that visor thing over the windshield a standard item, option, or aftermarket add on? I have seen a lot of them on these trucks, but mostly on the higher end jobs. Personally, I don't care for them, but I was just wondering why I see them on these trucks so much.

That is one beautiful truck. I like the chrome detail on the front fenders. Is that another one on the bed also?

My son and a good friend of mine are going to try to stop by the BBQ. Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend.

Hey Tom,

Stop by this week for a vist. I'm off work for 2 weeks, it would be a great time to meet.

Hey Jim,

Is Charlie's Hemi a 241? I seem to remember he used some caddy trim too.

The first travelers are here from Redwood City, Ca. Bob's on his way with "stuff" for the frig. The yardwork is done, the "swap meet area" is ready, and the dogs are locked up. I'm way tired from all the cleaning up, but really appreciate the motivation the BBQ gives me to dust. lol. I'm looking forward to tomorrow and want to thank everyone in advance for helpin' out. Tonight I'll be workin on my truck so it looks like something for tomorrow..lol. The front end is in, but the boxing of the frame isn't finished. I did fab a crossmember for the new tranny and original gas tank. So I guess I'll throw the cab on and call it "show ready". See ya'all tomorrow.

So sorry I cannot attend this year. With two grandkids and a son living with us a lot has changed. All is getting under control so we are very thankful for that. Hope to drive up in my truck next year. :(
