BobT-47P15
A fourdoor. Some will like and some will not. Kind of interesting, though. He's taken a totally unusual route on the rear fenders. May turn out ok. Just posting for anyone who wants to look. Frank Elder
Pictures could be better, but I like the idea of being able to put wider tires on the car.
47heaven
Don't like it. Looks like a squashed bug. On some cars chops look good, but not a P15 sedan.
steveplym
I think it looks kind of neat. I wouldn't want to do it to my car, but it has a nice look. Plus it looks like that guy did a pretty good job with it. I don't know if I've seen too many four door P-15's chopped. I know I've seen a few coupes. hkestes41
Don't mind the chop so much but I think the fenders are a bit much.
RobertKB
Take a nice looking car and butchered it as far as I am concerned. Just looks completely out of proportion.
BobT-47P15
To me, it would have been allright, except for his making the rear fenders larger. He could have just used smaller tires or whatever.
Frank Elder
When you read the whole thread instead of just looking at the pictures...there is an explanation, he wanted the rear fenders to match the width of the front fenders, thus making the car look uniform. BobT-47P15
I read that part, but I'm not sure the result is all that snappy. Maybe it will prove to be in the long run. Guess I'm just used to how they are and think that's good.
Frank Elder
Bob, didn't mean to be snappy, sorry. I do think they are wonderful stock, but I like a little wider hips:D
BobT-47P15
No problem, Frankie. We all have opinions......the good news is we can express them on here.
Norm's Coupe
I normally don't take links to look at a lot of stuff, especially on the HAMB. But........just got off the phone with another forum member and he mentioned this chop top project on the HAMB. Said, wasn't his idea project, but he admired the body work and said I should take a look. I agree, it's not my thing to chop tops either. But.......you have to give the guy credit for his body work and his vision. Even though, I would not want a car like this, I do think once it's done and painted it will make a sharp looking Street Rod.
BobT-47P15
Now, check this link. Looks like someone is building a P15 sedan delivery. And it may look pretty realistic when done. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=633029&d=1238797764

Frank Elder
Where is the Full link, all I get is one picture?
Norm's Coupe
Frankie, are you on dialup? If so it'll take you longer to load the whole thread. Then it's two or three pages long. Lot's of pictures in that thread, that's why it takes so long to load on dialup.
Frank Elder
I am not on dialup, on hi-speed internet, all I get is a 3/4 view from the back. I am talking about the second car posted not the 4-door.
