I agree Wikipedia is not always acturate pretty much the same as your answers are not always acturate. :D :D

As an example what is Wilkpedia

Are you related to Norms coupe?

That's ok Don, go open up another can of Ensure and kick back and relax and think of more subjects you can try to be right about. LOL LOL, :D :D

But, probably won't get too far before you fall asleep:D :D

I just set on my patio with my BB Gun and wait these hop by, then it's target pratice. It's the only way I've found to keep them away from Kathy's garden thay ate all of our squash while I was in the hospital.

Dennis:rolleyes:

Dennis,

Put some Dried Blood in the garden. Can get it a most garden centers. It's just a powder. Won't kill the rabbits, but it'll keep them away from the garden.

Well since this thread has gone to hell in an Easter basket:) . Norm, the dried blood you mentioned I have never heard of it. Does it work as a repellant for other animals such as cats or dogs? Thanks, Brendan.

Brendan,

Not sure if Dried Blood will keep cats out of the garden. However, it didn't keep our dog out of the flower garden when we had a dog. Had to train her other ways not to go into them. It does keep the squirrels out though, in addition to rabbits. The deer stopped eating the wife's Tulips too.

There's a much cheaper way too to keep the rabbits, squirrels, etc. out of the garden too. Buy a bunch of the aluminum foil type pinwheels on a stick like you played with as a kid. Then just stick them in the ground in various locations in the garden. When the wind blows it spins the pinwheel and scares the rabbits, squirrels, etc., and the birds out of the garden. They work great and dirt cheap. Wife uses them all the time in her flower pots outside. We get them at a card outlet store that also sells party supplies.

Tim,

I'm not going to argue that point. However, the box of Dried Blood the wife uses says it repels those animals. So, if what you say is true, it must be a mixture of blended dried blood in the box. She gets it at the local garden center.

Glad you enjoyed the joke. Hope others did too. However, I can't take credit for that joke, just for posting it. Actually, about the same time Merle posted that Easter bunny picture, my wife got an email from one of her lady friends. The joke was in that email. She showed it to me, and right away I thought it was a perfect joke to go along with Merle's picture. So, I copied and pasted it here.:D

not quite the same Norm as there was no amplification..just the diode detector and a tunable slide coil..as a kid though you felt like you were stealing tunes right out of nowhere..

You sure that wasn't the old crystal radio?

the old orginal galena crystal sets (cat whisker) were quite large and bulky..but later with the diode coming along..it simplified things and allowed the little set that was a tad larger than a match box be delveloped..probably similar to the one Norm carried around and used...

The one I mentioned was about the size of the one Don Coatney pictured, but like I said, you had to be tied to a fence to listen to it and did not need batteries to make it work, just something metal to hook the alligator clip onto.:D I remember all the to do about Crystal radios back then too. Guess mine could have been a form of that type. Like I said before, I didn't care back then about how it was made, so I really don't know.

yeah Norm..the better the fround pane..the better reception you could get...I remember the little matchbox size that was on a dollar of so in most comic book ads...all in all..a part of growing up...I read that the Boy Scouts are probably the only orginazation that continues this education in elementary radio experiments as they still require a scout to assemble one...

Yeah......it went from an item about a lighter, tail light lenses, and an

old P15 coupe to transistor radios and the Easter Bunny. Just goes to show

ya, you never can tell where a thread will ultimately go.

Actually....

A lighter, taillight lenses, parts for an old P15 coupe, a transistor radio, a crystal radio set, the Easter bunny and a lot of other garbage....all things you can find in an old Plymouth. I believe that is the purpose of this thread, isn't it?

;)
