Joel Torres Posted March 1, 2009 Report Posted March 1, 2009 one problem i noticed with my digital camera (you might have to get the book for it) was it was set to make BIG photos lots of pixels i had to tone it down in size now its perfect, could this be the culprit? you can use this free web site http://www.picresize.com/ Quote
Frank Elder Posted March 1, 2009 Report Posted March 1, 2009 All I can print are thumbnails, but it works for me so far. I take my pictures and reduce them 5% at a time until they meet the requirements...I'll figure out the right way to post full size later, I hope. Quote
Dennis Hemingway Posted March 1, 2009 Report Posted March 1, 2009 I use a free photobucket account to resize my photos. Dennis:cool: http://photobucket.com/ Quote

greg g Posted March 2, 2009 Report Posted March 2, 2009 If you are just going to post a couple pics, you can use Imageshack.com. It's free, doean't require any registration. It has a user selectable resizer as part of the uploading process. Easy to use and easy to link to this forum. http://imageshackusa.com Quote

BobT-47P15 Posted March 2, 2009 Report Posted March 2, 2009 Photobucket has a re-sizer - so you can select the desired picture size as they are loaded into the album from the camera. There is a dropdown box entitled "reduce to" at the bottom of the place you download your pics. Has several choices......I use the 640 x 480 size (large) and that works just right to upload to this and some other forums. Once the pics are into the 'Bucket album, I use the little yellow box at the top of our message screen, that has a picture of a mountain on it and a square on the upper right that looks like a postage stamp. Meanwhile, back at the bucket...... You simply bring up the picture you want, put your cursor on it, and you will see 4 chocies below. I left click on the second one "direct link"......it turns blue......then right click on it and you get a box that includes "copy". Left click on "copy". That allows you to transfer that url address over to the forum. So, go back to the forum, left click on the yellow box......put your cursor on the space with the http and then left click "paste". That should fill the line with the address just copied from the 'Bucket. Then click on OK. The picture will come into your post at the place you have your cursor....... I usually finish what I'm writing, bump the cursor down two lines below that, then go get and place the picture. Hope that helps some. You get a picture this size. Quote
