Robin (UK) Posted January 6, 2009 Report Posted January 6, 2009 Hi guys, the shifter knob on my car has developed a big crack. My guess is that it was screwed on too tightly and has now succumbed to the stress. Does anyone have a NOS or re-pop shifter knob for a P15 that they would sell? Or can you point me in the right direction? Thanks. Robin. Quote
Joe Flanagan Posted January 6, 2009 Report Posted January 6, 2009 Robin, Check with Young Ed. A little while ago he posted pictures of some stuff he bought and it looked like there were some knobs included. Don't know if he's parting with any of that. Also, I think Roberts in Massachusetts sells repros. I have the catalogue at home and can look for you. Joe Quote
Young Ed Posted January 6, 2009 Report Posted January 6, 2009 There was 1 or 2 shifter knobs in that pile of stuff I bought. However they certainly aren't new or NOS condition. Probably have a bunch of little cracks or hazing. Robin let me know if you want me to check. Quote
dirty dan Posted January 6, 2009 Report Posted January 6, 2009 My son just bought me one from Bernbaum (everyone's favorite, I hear)... Gear Shift Knob, U-501 Ivory $16.50 USD, looks/fits just fine. http://www.oldmoparts.com/Default.htm Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted January 6, 2009 Report Posted January 6, 2009 Some on the 'bay along, as you might surmise. Quote
kevinanderson Posted January 7, 2009 Report Posted January 7, 2009 I drilled out and threaded a cue ball. Quote
Robin (UK) Posted January 7, 2009 Author Report Posted January 7, 2009 Thanks Guys, Looks like the Bernbaum route will be the one of least resistance. Appreciate your help. R. Quote
