Young Ed Posted December 29, 2008 Report Posted December 29, 2008 The back certainly looks low to me. Front maybe a little bit too. Here's dads 51 with all new springs. Keep in mind the conv is a fair amount heavier then a sedan so its not exactly apples to apples. FYI the first set of rear springs he ordered were too tall and ruined his ujoints. Thats even after removing 2 leaves. The new new springs came from ESPO. FYI this shot is all Forum members down to the black 49 thats parked backwards. I forget who the 50 belongs to though. Quote
greg g Posted December 29, 2008 Report Posted December 29, 2008 Yep them puppies is saggin'!!! You chould have about 2 more iches between the top of the bump stop and the snubber. Bet new springs and shocks will improve the ride and handling. Quote
aero3113 Posted December 29, 2008 Author Report Posted December 29, 2008 I installed new front and rear shocks a few months ago and that helped with the ride alot, with new springs I hope the ride will be even better. I was thinking maybe they cut the springs to match the sagging rear leaf springs or do you think the front and rear sagged together? Quote
aero3113 Posted December 30, 2008 Author Report Posted December 30, 2008 Was outside before playing around with the floor jack, I jacked the car up a few inches and the new tire fit right in and looked real good! I measured from the bottom of the front bumper to the ground and it was 16.5 inches. Does that sound about the right height? Or should it be a little lower? Quote
