DanOlson Posted October 28, 2008 Report Posted October 28, 2008 The heater hose from the water pump should go to LOWER heater core, correct? After 14 years, I'm installing the heater back in the truck. 24 degrees this morning. Dan Quote

After 14 years, I'm installing the heater back in the truck. 24 degrees this morning. Dan I am not sure that it matters much, but I have the hose from the block going to the top of the heater and the hose to the return coolant to the water pump on the lower pipe from the heater. Quote
norrism1 Posted October 28, 2008 Report Posted October 28, 2008 Have the top from the heater going to the pump. That way you can burp air out. Quote

The vintage, period correct, after market Hadees heater I have in my 1933 has a bleed valve at the top of the heater to get the air out. I guess not all heaters have that. Quote
Don Coatney Posted October 28, 2008 Report Posted October 28, 2008 Top, bottom, or sideways connections I dont think matter. But the flow is from the back of the head to the suction side of the water pump. Quote
