Got time to work on the 50 today

Well after not having any time the past month i got a chance to work on the beast!! I pulled the intake/exhaust and am getting ready to split them the old fashion way!! Got a few pics of it after they were pulled. Notice the grease, that is after the first pressure wash! I think I am going to pull the front sheet metal and detail the motor, frame rails, firewall and inner pannels. I want to keep the factory markings on the firewall as they are in good condition for their age.

Looks like you'll need to remount the disk brake to the front of the rotor. I suspect that the rotor will hit the shock when you turn the wheel. I had the opposite problem on the Pilothouse pickup. Much easier to change the position of the caliper than the position of the shock mount on the pickup.

mine mimic the original angle and position in relation to the upper control arm..and though the pic does show it more rearward..if the angle of the shock is leaning in..as it should..it may still clear the caliper..will be very close I would imagine

The shock is just hanging in the pic, i have not made the bracket for it yet. the disc work perfect just have not had time to mount the master cylinder.
