David Maxwell Posted December 20, 2006 Report Posted December 20, 2006 ...that I thought you might enjoy. They are: 1. A pic I really enjoy because: it has both a P15 Club coupe like my first P15 and a 48 Ford like the one I used to own. Notice the true white walls on the P15. This image is from a negative I have. 2. P15 Club Coupe on a quite street. This one has the more typical plastic simulated white walls. 3. Little boy with big snowball. Nice row of 40s cars including a P15. 4. Woman out for a cruise or Christmas shopping. She actually has packages on the package shelf! 5. GI Tom and his two loves. This pic is dated 1952 and notice that Tom has made a couple of mods to his P15. There is no hood ornament and the hubcaps appear to be changed. Second set to follow in next post. Quote
David Maxwell Posted December 20, 2006 Author Report Posted December 20, 2006 6. Pony ride in front of a P15 Club Coupe. This appears to be early `50's as well. 7. The two intrepid fishermen. That P15 has seen some dirt! 8. P15 full of babes! Gotta love the early version of go-go boots. LOL! The cars across the street suggest `49 - `51 as the date. 9. Great color shot of a man and his new P15 in the snow. Note the pride as he has polished it so well in the snow that you can see the reflection of the drive in the doors. This pic was dated 1948. Chester Brzostowski Posted December 20, 2006 Report Posted December 20, 2006 Great Pictures Dave, Though I don't think go-go boots in picture 8..., I think bobby socks. Looks like a beach comunity. Quote
bob westphal Posted December 20, 2006 Report Posted December 20, 2006 Only a 'leg man' would look that close to really know they are bobby sox! The P-15 was the coolest of all 40's cars! The other MoPars were bigger and weren't as nimble to drive. P-15s forever!!! Quote
RobertKB Posted December 20, 2006 Report Posted December 20, 2006 Great pictures, Dave. Thanks for sharing. Quote
40phil41 Posted December 20, 2006 Report Posted December 20, 2006 Great Pics David. Here is the only vintage photo I have of a 1940 Dodge (other than my own ). I have a few others that might be '40's but they are too far away to be certain. Phil Quote
1just4don Posted December 20, 2006 Report Posted December 20, 2006 I am NOT a real good car knower yet but that very first pic with the four door suicide door on THIS side of the street looks 'exactly' like my '41 Ford in the garage right now. Dont know how many years they made them without major changes. Back then there wasnt 'alot' of differnce between makes either. That back seat in the '41' suicide door, I have lived in smaller apartments,,,no wonder there were lots of '40's kids made back then!!! Tons of leg room, lots of head room, plenty of bench room!!! They just dont makim like that any more!! I can always stand correctin' --d-- Quote
