burrowing the millers tools would be nice, but i think Desoto 1939 wont ship them to the Netherlands Dan -
Ttoday i hamered them out with the help of a socket, and i ordered all the parts for servicing the front suspension. Also cleaned, sanded and painted the front springs with a first layer. Dan

this saterday i mounted teh painted parts, the rear axle, spings and shackles with new rubbers and silence blocks. next job is the front.

after cleaning i painted all the parts first layer owatrol and leadpaint, second leadpaint, third an fourth finisd with black metal paint

bad news, i also have to orde a kingpin set, anyone used the king pin set from rock auto ? ACDELCO 45F0025 {#88911828} Professional , the dimensions are the same as my old kingpins exept the length the old one is 135.5 mm Professional Bushings Included Yes Washers Included Yes King Pin Length 5.375 in King Pin Length 136.525 MM King Pin Diameter 0.796 IN King Pin Diameter 20.22 MM King Pin Material Steel Bearing Included Yes -
You are using the kingpin set from bernbaum, i am interested in your experience with this kit because i have to order a kingpin set succes, keep us informed and pics if possible.

hi, see pics. on 1 of my rear springs this part is broken. in mitchell motorpats book spring-group page 63 i believe it is part nr 7 but it is not listed on page 64 ? who knows the name and partnr off this part so i can see if its available ?

I first tried with the nylon hammer because i did not want to damage the threads. I will soak it with the penatrting oil for a few days more and wil use the heavier hamer on the nut flush on the thread . Dan

Both the lower arms are ready ! the next challenge are the upperarms. The studs for the upper mounting of the shock absorber are stuck due the rust, the bolt already removed. I am penetrating them every day and removing the free coming rust. Is it corect thats when i hit them with a nylon hammer at the red dot i can loosen them.

hi Don, no problem advice is Always good, but this a proffesional bench from a technical department of my work. Perhaps i looks like wimpy

sorry it was Don's recipy. Today after penetrating i tryed it with a longer pipe and with the arm i the vice and locked against the bench with positive result with 1 arm.

Hi Guys, Pb blaster is not available overhere, but i made andy's recepy acetone and ATF 50-50 and put i on, tomorrow again and i wil give a try the way andy wrote. I will win this battle
