  1. I'm just going to use the spare one that I have from my 48 Plymouth until I can find another, it's not quite the same but I don't have any spare trim for the Dodge to make one out of, there's two on eBay but they're both the wrong side
  2. Well I assume that the ones on the moldings on this car are the originals, they sure look like The Originals on the piece that fell off
  3. That looks a little strange on a coupe
  4. Yeah I've seen that one on YouTube, it actually sounds pretty good with them hooked up, I was looking to see if I can find a 4-door like mine with pipes on them, I really do like the look though I think I'm going to put them on
  5. And that's the hood of my 2000 Jeep Cherokee, AKA "my workshop" also known as my "Parts getter" as you can see i painted about 50 different things on the hood of it LOL it's also my daily driver
  6. That's my two small sets of keys LOL, the smaller one only has the keys for the 47 on it, the bigger 1 has my house keys and keys for five or six my other vehicles and motorcycles, my big keychain that I keep in my toolbox has keys from all the rest of my vehicles and my shop and just about everything else I own and toolbox and all kinds of other crap and that one is three times the size of those 2 it's got about 50 keys on it LOL
  7. Just got done fabricating new wiper rubber like I did on the 48 Plymouth so I have wipers again, I got a 22 in Blade from Walmart with the same size rubber, took it all apart cut the rubber in half installed it on my metal, and slid it back into the wiper blades, now if I can just find that damn piece of side molding that I lost, or locate another one, I'd be the happiest guy in the world, I want it back on the car before lead East in 2 weeks, I have one for my 48 Plymouth, but it's not quite the same the Dodge has a line going down the center
  8. Took the purple people eater to its first cruise in yesterday, it was also the first time that I've driven the car for any distance, roughly 20 miles each way, car runs great and drives great, had a few issues, about halfway to the show the sky's turned black and it started downpouring, and a big wind gust took the center support of my visor out, so I had to tie a piece of wire from the visor down to one of the windshield wipers, and I also lost the passenger side cowl molding somewhere between home and the show, very unhappy about that, I spent 3 hours today driving back and forth along the Route seeing if I could find it anywhere, but had no luck
  9. that's okay, I plan on removing it anyway
  10. never seen one before, I'm not sure if mine is missing something, because it's open on the bottom, I tried to look at the ones on eBay and it looks like maybe the Box just slides in, either that or mine's missing a drawer or something
  11. Hey does anyone know if this chrome piece has a use, or if it's just decorative, I'm thinking maybe it's a heat deflector from the heater, but I'm not sure
  12. rebuilt my wheel cylinders yesterday, took the purple people eater on it's first actual drive today, I've taken it around the block a few times before today, but never driven it any distance because of the leaky wheel cylinders, still definitely needs some more brake adjustment but at least it stops now LOL
  13. actually what gave me the idea was the Happy Days 48 DeSoto Suburban, I always loved that car, yes I've looked at the reproduction VW racks they sell, I'm not sure if it would be big enough, I'm also not sure that I wanted to do it, I change my mind every 5 minutes LOL
  14. Hey Tim, you're a man who has everything, do you have any roof racks around for one of these cars??
  15. yeah, it's pretty sad that he retired, but the new owners are going to make it the same or even better, and they actually lowered the prices a little
  16. yes I understand the big puller works better, but just like I said in this post AutoZone didn't have one available and I couldn't find one anywhere else, and if someone else got stuck in the same situation they could use the puller I used as an alternative, that's the whole reason I posted a picture of it, just like it says
  17. I've seen a few posts from people removing their rear brake drums, here's another wheel puller option for you besides the heavy duty one, I rented this one from AutoZone because it was the only one they had that was even close to what I needed, it struggled quite a bit but it did with a long breaker bar, so I'm just throwing it out there in case anyone needs to remove their drums and can't find the heavy duty one
  18. We usually go to the kraft B lot, my friends always rent hotel rooms too, I don't, I'm only 20 minutes from the place, and I have to go home and feed my furry kids at night
  19. I thought it came off a Chevy truck, but after doing some research I'm pretty sure came off a Hudson commodore
  20. just wondering if any guys are coming to New Jersey for Lead East this year, not quite as big as Carlisle but close, and it focuses on 30s through 50s cars not the newer muscle cars, so many of these guys all have 55 - 57 Chevys, it would be nice to see some Mopars
  21. and at $35 a piece plus tax and shipping I don't think I'll be getting any Mooneyes covers
