  1. Yes that's correct the car is going to 12V. Battery is in the trunk. For an explanation: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High_energy_ignition I haven't heard anything about the wires but they are good quality and just made to look old. I guess I'll find out next week haha!
  2. Was able to get the car into my friends shop today. Nice dry place to work in and sure beats the tent! New fuel filter, existing one was the see through plastic one which i think is a huge fire hazzard New water pump & 180F thermostat As you can see ive run the loomed wires against the block trying to keep them out of sight as possible, friend made a bracket to fit the ignition coil to the existing base, finished all the plug wires and wiring Ended up fairly symmetrical. Hopefully have the car running next saturday, Getting it up on the lift to replace the all 4 shocks, coolant, oil, trans and rear end oil. Couple more wires to run inside the fender to get to the headlights and get her out on the open road
  3. Do you remember what the approx cost was Robert?

  5. C2C is that bad? I need some new floors next year for my P17 coupe and they seem to be the only ones available :S
  6. Im very impressed with your engine stand. Are you a carpenter by trade?
  7. Nice and clean on the wiring. Ever thought of putting it in some cloth loom? Painless wiring makes a really nice cloth one, im currently using it on my re-wire
  8. Bars too high? What does that mean haha
  9. Today I ordered a full gasket set, new thermostat, new water pump, oil filter, metal fuel filter, new front and rear shocks. Full gasket set is a couple weeks away so Im just waiting for everything to go and pick it up. Should be out at the car again on the 18th and the plan is to spend a solid day and get it running I'll keep you guys posted -Kent
  10. Wow! Looks amazing. I always think the more accessories, lights, visors ect look really good on these cars
  11. I much prefeer the black turn signal switch to my cheap looking chrome one. Factory ones if you can find them seem to always be really expensive on eBay.
  12. Put in the headlights and running lights/turn signals Headlights are H4 with a European lense which I think has a better pattern than the standard lense Running lights have orange bulbs in them which will have a orange glow during operation and a bright orange flash for turn signals
  13. New drivers window is in easy enough for the glass shop to cut
  14. Wow looks like it just rolled off the line. Congrats!
  15. Wow looks like it just rolled off the line. Congrats!
  16. August was a crazy month so didn't get a lot done. Bent the alt bracket to get it to work with the new alt. Worked out pretty well. Roughed in the spark plug wires. Liking the look of these "new" old braided wires. Trying to get a good mirror image of front 3 & back 3. Still need to order a radiator. Hopefully on the road before the end of the year
  17. Awesome now the car has "0" miles haha
  18. Thanks for your interest! Have not had much time to work on it. Was out at the car today and finished the wiring in the trunk and loomed some of the under dash wiring. Nothing too interesting to take a picture of. I'm hoping to have it back on the road end of Sept! Will update when I can -Kent
  19. Little more wiring action from today. Cloth loomed up some of the pieces. I mounted 2 heavy duty terminal strips on the rear of the support Trunk wiring in action haha. Still havnt removed the film on the battery box and cut the rods to length.
  20. Looking forward to updates as im in the same boat. 1 wire at a time
  21. No car updates but was in Portland over the weekend and came across this: Its infront of whats now a parking lot which may have actually been a potential dealership? Unsure. Adding driving there in the coupe to the bucket list. Another angle:
  22. The blue and white looks really good on the motor! Keep it up
