  4. There are two options when sending money direct from one paypal account to another which are to mark it as payment for goods for which the seller incurs fees or for the buyer to mark it as for friends and family for which there are no fees. However if you use the friends and family option there is no buyer/ seller payment protection, depending on the amount involved or if you know the the buyer I'd add the fees to the sale price. regards....... Simon.
  5. Your car looks just fine to me Fred, I just read thru this whole great topic, have those front springs settled any yet? Curious to know as i've just raised the front my '48 business coupe with what I was led to believe are nos springs that came with the car when I brought it. The old springs had just over a coil removed and combined with missing lower bump stops didn't ride too well so I've fitted the nos ones and it's raised the front 3", a little more than I like but I'm guessing they will settle a bit with time. The rear on mine is lowered with 3" blocks and they'll be staying as it's the tail down look I want. regards......... Simon. Old Springs New Springs
  6. Thanks for link Garry, I used them the for rear suspension bushes on my Zodiac, the smaller cone shaped bushes are for a classic mini. I've been advised not to use polyurethane bushes for bumpstops on a road car because they're too firm. I've ordered some from Roberts Motor Parts now as they had the control arm grease seals listed that I needed too. regards ................. Simon.
  7. Thanks all for your input, I can find similar bumpers here in the UK but not as tall so it looks like I'll just have to pay for the shipping. Yes that's the one. I see your in the UK. Your car's looking good, at Goodwood Revival I'm guessing, I live about 3/4 hours drive from there and go most years, was your avatar pic taken last year? Thanks again. Regards.......... Simon
  8. Cheers for that info, that's most helpful, they're bigger than I thought. All I found left on my car today was this-
  9. Yes that's it. regards ......... Simon
  10. Hi all, Can anyone tell me the height and diameter of the cone shaped lower control arm bumper on a 1948 Plymouth please.Mine are missing and I want to try to source some suitable replacements in England. Regards to all ...............Simon.
  11. Thanks for the comments fella's. These wagon's were all built as sedan's by Ford and taken to an outside coachbuilder, Abbott's of Farnham, and then converted to be sold through the dealerships.Gotta agree it is a wild factory paint scheme for an English car but it shows it's American styling influences well.I've added an under hood pic to show the triple Su carb set up i've fitted, it's also has the optional overdrive gearbox and makes a nice cruiser. My plans for my Plymouth are pretty much the same ie. basically stock with some period tuning goodies fitted, luckily it came with the R10 overdrive fitted.
  12. Here's mine a 1961 English Ford Zodiac
