  1. I guess if I don't show up I will never hear the end of it from Tim. Tim, we need to trailer the 50 back up there. It is still sitting in the same spot and same condition when we swapped the cabs out. LOL
  2. He is the only one I know with a stockpile of Pilot House Parts in this area LOL
  3. Im 5 miles east of Stockton, 15 miles west of Escalon. At Jacktone Road
  4. awesome, another short side 50. You still have a better starting point than I do. Welcome.
  5. Here in Stockton it is 85 right now, I just came in from working on the F100 tow vehicle/parts hauler.
  6. The heat really doesn't bother me, its the touching of steel that has been sitting in 104 degree heat that really hurts!
  7. Well, today I went out to pick and pull just to kill some time before work. I originally went out there to check out different master cylinder/brake pedal set ups in the trucks and jeeps. I decided to check out what big mopar cars were in the yard. I came upon 2, one a 67 dart, the other a 63 polara. The dart was pretty much useless (stripped to nothing) So I went over to check the Polara, Jackpot, it was a push button auto car and had the steering column that I wanted. Problem was I had no tools, and they were getting ready to take the car out to crush it. I asked their staff if they had a socket and wrench I could borrow to get the column off of the steering box (somebody already unbolted the rest of it) All they had were metric, so I said screw it, give me a 17mm I dont need the bolt anyway. But here is my junkyard gem for the day. now I have a steering column but only knew that it came from a push button auto car (no idea on how to source parts for it, and it was cut down) so this was the logical solution to my little problem. anyways, I found a few master/booster/pedal assemblies that I will go back out and look at tomorrow.
  8. well at 330am it is pretty quiet out there, with the occasional wtf did I get myself into being blurted out.
  9. Not a whole lot of work being done on my end, my truck feels neglected. I have been working 12 hour shifts 6 days a week for the past few weeks and have been too worn out to work on her. I do go out and sit in the cab for some strange reason. At least with the hours I am working I can get the clip done. I also have a line on a 440 that is running and cheap, so I am up in the air on the engine right now.
  10. some engine shots would be nice, too bad I have to work this weekend, or I would run down there and visit my aunt and take a look.
  11. I wish, if that were the case I would have a few finished trucks. I just have a lot of spare time while parts cure in the autoclaves, and even more spare time if I am running the thermal chamber.
  12. I hope this can help you some
  13. ok, they call it a prototype for a reason right?? Here is the finished one, I need to make some adjustments to the tooling. As pictured this can be cleared over for that nice shiny gloss look, or primed and painted. I still need to clean the edges up and drill out the mounting holes. This was made by butt-splicing pieces together, I am having one of the engineers here make me some ply cut files so I can use single sheets.
  14. Jim, I have a sketch that Ez Wire included for mopar's. I will get pic in a little bit and post it for you if you like.
  15. still working on that one, it is being a pain. I think mine was drilled out for the mirror.
  16. Round 2 of goofing off here at work (nothing better to do anyway) So I decide to pull of mold off of my door access panels. I Am already calling this one a reject because I had to butt-splice the graphite together. I will cure this one tomorrow on my shift, I still need to put more graphite on it.
  17. yes it was fun. Cant wait till we get the chassis up to your place for the real work (and the last hurdle for me to go full throttle into the build) on to other things. Sometimes I have to hand it to my uncle, this is the homemade master cylinder/brake pedal adapter for the truck, the master he chose to use is a 66-70 A, B, C, and E body mopar. I will be reusing the adapter, but getting a new master with an APV for the disc drum combo I will be running. I will be taking it to work tonight to blast the pedal and the adapter. The master is rusted solid so I wont be using it. This set up stopped the truck with all drums and the 360 in it years ago.
  18. 9 inch ford will bolt right in without having to change the perch, the only problem my uncle had with the set up is the drive shaft would sometimes fall out of the transmission.
  19. I have an aftermarket tube straight axle here with the springs. Has mustang II Calipers and rotors, and is the right bolt pattern. I wont be using it, but right now it is the only way i can roll the truck around until the clip goes on. Shipping is what is gonna kill this thing off.
  20. Almost looks like the one my parents bought, then we sold to my uncle. The only thing that comes to my mind when I see this picture is the line from the movie vacation: "If you think you hate it now, wait until you drive it"
  21. And just for fun we threw the front end back on it when we got it back to my house.
  22. here are the pics, for some reason photobucket is being slow with the uploading lately.
  23. Well it was a great day. Cab was swapped out, but the best news came when Tim took out the tape measure and checked the frame out, I can still use it! All of the pictures are currently uploading, so those will show up soon. Thanks again goes out to Tim for all the help.
  24. we shall see how tomorrow goes after you do a look over, after all your the one who will be doing the clip. the only thing I am worried about is if they want to inspect the truck and the frame number doesn't match the title/body number.
