  1. Thanx, Greg. It was a lotta fun.
  2. If you're thinking of heading west, message me on this Forum and maybe we can get together.
  3. $45K for the Reptile. I think the sign said it was a 2000 with less than 10K miles on it. I don't know if any parts are available off of the Dodge. It's been sitting there for a very long time and the property does not look like it's currently occupied.
  4. And how about that jazzy showroom, hey?
  5. Three cars shows in three states (they're very close together in my neck of the woods) in one 190 mile day in my D24. Cars & Coffee in Bernardston, MA in the morning, the Vintage Sports Car Hillclimb at Mt. Equinox in Sunderland, VT for lunch, a side trip to Bennington, VT and a Cruise Night in North Walpole, NH to finish it off. Came across this one in the Home Depot parking lot in Bennington.... And found these two within a mile of each other in the little village of Chester, Vt on my way to N. Walpole.... Happy motoring!
  6. Sam Spade's favorite car : the '37 Plymouth coupe.
  7. ...of "L" Motors, located at 175th Street and Broadway in New York City....
  8. An unlikely pairing at a cruise-in last night..... ...and a visit with an older member of the Bowtie Brigade on the way home....
  9. Yeah. The upside is that I drove for miles that day without seeing another car. The downside, as it is in Michigan, is that the cruising season up here is terribly short. And hey, you get the Woodward Dream Cruise every year, right?
  10. Sounds like a good idea. I go through Bolton on the way to the ATHS truck show in Hudson when I go. I like to grab lunch to go at the farm store there on Rt. 117.
  11. Wish I had known about that one, Greg!
  12. Thanx, it was. Days nice enough to attempt a long cruise have been few and far between this year. Made this run, two 200 milers,..... http://p15-d24.com/topic/33456-on-the-road-part-1/?hl=%2Bgreat+%2Bbarrington#entry336026 ..and a couple of 80 milers over to Hemmings Motor News Cruise Nights.
  13. Yup, know that kind of mist all too well, Mark. 110% humidity and gets into everything! I know "downtown" Middlebury pretty well, too. There was a MoPaR show at the Dodge dealer scheduled for last June 16 that I wanted to go to, but the weather was just dreadful. It's about 100 miles from me, and running a 200 mile round trip in the pouring rain isn't my idea of having fun with an old car.
  14. You're very welcome, Mark. One of the rare days we've had this summer when it wasn't pouring rain or stinkin' hot!
  15. First stop, Weston, Vt.... A photo op on the boat ramp at Amherst Lake.... At the Calvin Coolidge farm in Plymouth..... Advice well taken. Note the grade in the background. Needed second gear for it..... "It ain't a Plymouth, it's a Dodge!" Sorry, I just couldn't resist it .... My little summer place in Woodstock ..... Big sky in Woodstock, Vermont.....
  16. Drove over to Hemmings Motor News last night for their cruise night in my Dodge. They usually have it on Thursday, but moved it to Friday night this week for N.C.C.A.D. Eighty mile round trip and the place was packed. Probably close to 200 cars. No P15's and mine was the only D24.
  17. Ooo! That is low, Don. Guy must be a real piece of work.
  18. It must be those four custom made pillows on the back seat that say "1947 Plymouth" on 'em that drive the price up so high.
  19. Not so much if ya shave the goats yourself.
  20. Meant to post only the Thrill Show item. Don't know anything about that other thing.
  21. Thanx, Bob. You, too.
  22. https://blog.hemmings.com/index.php/2013/07/04/keeping-an-american-tradition-alive-the-last-automotive-thrill-show/
  23. Thanx. Hope I didn't sound like a whiner.
