  1. Superb craftsmanship throughout. Bet it goes like a bat out of hell.
  2. ...with all the money I'm saving on car payments...
  3. The Honda was not a Vermont car until recently. It came from California .
  4. "I met a 2008 honda a year ago, he really liked my front fender and bumper. I got a $200 check to fix the scratch and his car was totaled..." That's not too hard to believe, roadking. What is hard to believe is that Honda's vast automotive empire began with this tiny car!
  5. Started out the day with an early breakfast at my friend Stephanie's restaurant. Her advertising slogan is "Best Diner by a Dam Site." We've had a spectacular run of clear, dry weather here in southern Vermont for about the last ten days. I decided to treat the old bus to fresh set of plugs, because she was getting harder to start when warm. They helped a little, but she was still running a little lumpy. I discovered that the cause of the problem was that one of the hairpin clips in the choke linkage had disappeared, so it was just flopping around loose. Easy fix and a great improvement. Later on, I came across this Honda 600 for sale by the side of the road and just couldn't resist popping off a few frames. And thanx fur lookin'!
  6. He sure beat on that poor old thing like it was a rented mule, and a '42 to boot! I gonna go right out and try that stair climbing stunt with my D24!
  7. ....for his wife.... This 241 Hemi from a derelict '53 Dodge with about 20,000 original miles on it required only cosmetics before he shoehorned in.... And thanx fur lookin'!
  8. Yup. I thought it was pretty impressive.
  9. Definitely out of my price range, but awfully purty.
  10. Stay strong and hang in there, Bob. I beat prostate cancer 4½ years ago, so it can be done!
  11. A first class resto done on a '56 Firedome wagon complete with the correct upholstery materials.... It did not make reserve at $19,600.00 in 11 bids on eBay Motors. BIN price was $34,500.00, which doesn't seem all that unreasonable to me, if the car is as nice as it seems to be. And thanx fur lookin'!
  12. Now THAT'S funny! Nearly peed myself, I was laughin' so hard!
  13. Surprising that there's more than one this nice. Go figure! Rare car. My book says only 2,705 coupés made in '33 and that's divided between Standard and Custom models! I'm not counting the 800 Business Coupés in that total, 'cause I don't think this is one of those.
  14. ??? No, Don. It's not mine. Wish it was! Just one I found trolling around on eBay. Pretty rare and flathead six powered, so I thought it might interest some of the guys. The only "toy" I have is my 1st Series '49 D24.
  15. It sold for $37,500 on eBay Motors in Seattle, WA on 3.25.13.... Claimed to have 22,308 documented original miles on it!
  16. Looks like crap. Probably leaks. Just my opinion.
  17. I wouldn't say no!
  18. https://blog.hemmings.com/index.php/2013/03/25/hemmings-find-of-the-day-1954-chrysler-new-yorker-limousine/
  19. Not as far as I know Randy, but updates might be posted on "The Old Motor" from time to time. You can bet that when and if it gets done, it'll be well reported, especially if it goes up for auction.
  20. HA! Thanx, Wolfster. I don't feel quite so bad now about the five inches still sitting in my yard here in southern Vermont.
  21. Thanx, Joe. Your '41 looks like a real gem, and one rarely seen, at that.
  22. Quite right. I have always thought Packard introduced the first factory installed true air conditioning in 1941.
