  1. I agree. Some might depend on which cylinder it is, too. One of the passenger side, you'll stand a better chance of only needing to bleed that one. Also, you'll most likely only have to bleed either the front or rear, depending on where it is, too.
  2. I found a problem with your engine already. Going to have to pull the whole thing back out! Sorry. Your oil breather cap is on backwards:p
  3. That's one mean looking engine! Go ahead and bore us with those pictures!!!
  4. Looks like one of those extra parts that the factory puts in the car sometimes. I'll bet there was another one on the other side of the drum that is similar. That just proves my point. Some pledge should take care of the dust. Although, I do like your duct tape idea...
  5. I can't tell from the pictures, but you do have some 55 gallon drums strapped to the sides, don't you?
  6. You may be right Don, but in my Dodge owner's manual (29th Annual Edition if that matters) the spare tire section shows a whitewall tire in the trunk (it is a drawing so it could just be my interpretation) and more clearly in the section showing how to remove a tire from the rim. The other drawings of the car all have what look to be spats on the wheels. One thing that I can be sure about as far as originality is they did NOT have radials available.
  7. I've been around. Getting out of real estate for a bit and almost bought a restaurant in my hometown of Aiken, SC. The owner decided at the last minute that they couldn't sell right now at the price they needed so they're going to keep it for at least another 5 years. Kind of glad it fell through because I wasn't quite ready to move. Spent a couple weeks away from my wife and son and it just about killed me.
  8. I went with 75 series to get a look closer to bias ply. Dodge, so my size won't help you much. I'm one of the dumdums that bought the wide whites from Coker. I think they were around $140 each when I bought them. Yes, it hurt, but glad I did it. Diamond Back is another source for the wide whites, usually a couple bucks cheaper. I THINK they have 16" as well.
  9. Pretty cool. Probably only requires 1000KW of power to release 1 W of energy, though:rolleyes: It can probably be tweaked by the right person to become somewhat efficient. Surely more efficient than how we obtain hydrogen now.
  10. Yeah, this went around about a year ago. Maybe we'll see some of these cars at the next Barrett Jackson:p
  11. Kind of reminds me of this car (even though not nearly as desirable or old) Looks like it just rolled off the lot, even the plastic parts that are usually gone at this point are solid as a rock and line up like they should. The owner actually bought it from a "little old lady". The owner is the same guy that owns this car...

  13. Always used tap water for radiator and battery. Always felt kinda guilty doing it, too. Glad to see others doing the same thing. As for leaving water out, I agree with the other Norm. Chlorine leaves the water, chloramine (lot of municipalities using that now) doesn't leave, and all the other minerals don't leave. The minerals are what you should be concerned with if you are going to lose sleep over it.
  14. I use Bleche White on all tires except my Cokers. They specifically warn against it on their website. I think it dries the whitewalls out too much. For my WWWs, I use barkeepers friend and a blue or green scotchbrite pad. I tested the green one first and it hasn't scratched the whitewall that I've seen. I also haven't had any problems with the brown leeching through the white. My tires are about 3 years old and I believe Coker and DB fixed that problem around the same time. I've also used simple green with success, but barkeepers seems a little more gentle at full strength on your skin.
  15. Do you still have the original vented cap on the tank? You may be building up a vacuum causing the fuel starvation. Another problem could be some debris in the carb and/or fuel pump. Once you get your problem solved, you need to add at least one inline fuel filter.
  16. Looks fine to me. For those that would like to do something similar but not as permanent, you could always try this paint http://www.duplicolor.com/products/carart.html
  17. It was a marine engine in a sailboat. I soaked my front turn signal gaskets in PB blaster since they were so hard they were useless. It softened them up really well, but they grew in size about 50%. Luckily I was able to squeeze them in place. Haven't checked them recently. Also, used it on sink O rings that were sticky and they act like new for a few months.
  18. Has anyone ever had any problems with PB Blaster eating engine or transmission seals? Read on a boat forum about an owner spraying it around his transmission (2003 model so fairly new) and the seals gave up the ghost the next day. His mechanic said it was a known issue. I've never heard it before and not buying it 100%. Possible warning for those that get a little overzealous with their spraying.
  19. Now that chrome shops are getting harder to find and more expensive everyday, I wonder how it would look to paint the bumpers with the new chrome paint. Now this isn't like the old rattle can "chrome" paint you might be thinking of. This stuff actually looks like chrome (really more like polished aluminum) Mirra chrome is one http://www.kustomrides.com/chromepaint.htm $115 for a rattle can kit http://www.alsacorp.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=Alsa_B&Product_Code=KC-KCH-Kit
  20. "Pull" is probably the wrong word to use. "Yank" is much more appropriate. Both seats are fairly easy to remove. At least the seat part, I've never removed the backs. Getting them back in takes a little more effort getting things lined up just right and pressed back into place.
  21. Not to dig on the person that gave you those lights for a christmas gift, but for anyone interested, lights like these can be found for cheap. I'm sure those on stands are probably a bit more expensive, but I picked up a single 500watt unit that sits on the ground for about $9. I use it for drywall work, but it about drives me out of a room before I'm done.
  22. Saw this paint on Trucks on Spike. Could possibly be used for rolling. Much more durable than rustoleum I would guess. http://www.duplicolor.com/products/paintshop.html
  23. Peanut soup. blech. I had a bowl of that one time and it tasted like watered down peanut butter. Now, if I had a piece of chocolate to dip in it, I could have probably choked the rest of it down.
  24. I think boiled peanuts are OK, but they just taste like really salty beans to me. I much prefer dry roasted or in the shell.
