  1. When I got my engine back from the engine shop they told me they had problems fitting the camshaft / bearings. They needed to "scrape" the bearings or something like this.. I thought having new bearings for the camshaft would just fit. It cost me extra but I am not sure if this "scraping" was nessecerry:(
  2. The bolt /shank was les then .03 mil out form the original correct measurment, and I think they are put in there to keep the movement between the belhousing and the block to a minimum. My alternatives fitted very snug as in had to hammer them into place..
  3. Thanks Dave, yes I have found bolts with a long shank, cut them of and left some of the head on so they cannot travel further then the housing.

  12. Question: Has any one a picture or drawing of what supposed to be inside the Vacuum advance control unit? I found a spring and some washers in my old one and want to be sure..

  17. If brass I would not paint them, looks nice in the block but when steel I would paint.. If you can easely get the brass ones then ok, if only steel ones then ok too... as they say here: i am easy mate!
