Ok, thanks for the help with the belhouse, here is the next question.
Panelbeating is easy for me as I am an ex panelbeater, but mechanics is different.
I have 2 trucks, one is a 1950, FN108 with a T173 engine (seized)
the other truck is a 108B, 1954? with a KEW? or KEV 2B engine, turning over but not running.
The chassis looks the same but I see there are differents in the steering setup and I think the gearbox of the 108B maybe a 4 speed. I want to use the running gear of the KEW 2B engine as this one is not seized and I may be able to get it going again. I am aware the other difference is the 108B is 12V.
The questions for the moment are:
Are the carb's the same, are they and or other parts interchangeble? would it make a difference using the carb from the T173 engine on the other engine the Kew 2B?
Can I use the 4 speed gearbox (if it is one) of the 108B with the diff thats in the 108? I think the 108 is a 3 speed.
Are there any other things I should look out for?
Cheers Ryan
