  1. Yeah. I tried to get into it also and couldn't. I don't know whats going on with it. Hey Bob! What's up with the site?
  2. You should be able to access some of the photos from my restoration at the club web site. I took over 300 photos during the two years it took to restore my B2B. If there's something you don't see, maybe I have it.
  3. I get all my stuff at the local Napa store. I would think they'd have a head gasket. I got my harness from YnZ's Yesterdays Parts. It wasn't cheap, but it sure went in easy and fast. Every thing is labeled.
  4. I experienced the same thing. Solved problem by making a gasket from flat rubber and puting between cartridge top and bolt.
  5. Who knows, maybe we can meet in the middle somewhere. Maybe cruise the 'Mother Road' for a while? My fantasy is to cruise the 'Mother Road' in my B2B towing a teardrop...
  6. I guess I'm gonna have to help since I'm so close...
  7. The thing I can say is you have a great wife!
  8. I vote for the last Sunday in April. The truck show in Plymouth is the last Friday, Saturday, and Sunday; however, Sunday is always wrap things up and leave day, so I always go on Saturday. So, the last Sunday in April is the 27th. Maybe folks coming in for the BBQ could also make the truck show (and vice versa...). By the way, Reg, when did you get your new mower?
  9. That's me. I'll be there tonight.
  10. Ha! I hadn't considered that it didn't come with the truck. By the way, I finally got it in. After seeing and considering the star washers on Reg's I decided to have another go at it. After I got it all hooked up, it did look a little large. I'm guessing that if, in fact, the heater is not the original/stock one, the truck probably was not sold with a heater because none of the other plugs are punched out. So, probably, the truck had a clean firewall when sold. The fact is, though, the Model 70 does fit, albeit a little tight. That would also explain why my glove box looked like it had been modified, i.e., cut down. I had to do the same thing with the box I ordered from Roberts as it was too long.
  11. Thanks, but I don't need another heater - I just need to remember how this one hooks up. Mine is a MOPAR heater (the emblem says "MOPAR 70"). What I might be interested in later is a fresh air kit, if it'll hook up to my heater...
  12. Reg, Here are three photos. One shows the firewall with the hoses going through at the extreme upper left, just below the drip rail. Also, it shows the bolts just above the drip rail and the third bolt at the lower right. The other photos show the heater from the front and back. Also, you can see the various brackets and such I found in the ziplock baggie (which I put in there 10 years ago). The only thing I recognize from your photo are the star washers...
  13. Probably going up to Plymouth again to look at one in a wrecking yard. Hope it has a heater in it...
  14. Actually, mine is a Model 70. I spent about 2 hours yesterday trying to get it in. I can't figure it out: when I get the little pipes *that the hoses fit on) through the fireweall none of the mounting hardware lines up right with the holes in the firewall. When I get a chance, I'll post some pics of the heater and the hardware...
  15. I've got a Model 60 MOPAR heater that I removed from my truck about 10 years ago. It's the last thing to go back in after the restoration, but I can't remember how it attaches to the firewall. I've got some brackets and screws/bolts, etc., that I don't recognize (no, I didn't take pictures back then - although I did when I started the restoration...). Can someone post a picture of the backside of this heater so I can see what the various brackets look like?
  16. No way! If that was "worth it" to someone, he's obviously got more money than brains...
  17. Will do. Probably the latter part of the month.
  18. I know we talked about that when I was up there in July. I will change my rear wheels if you have two 16's. I still think I need to do something further. I'm really leaning toward a three speed with OD. Maybe I just need to start scouring the wrecking yards. I think with an OD and taller tires in the rear, plus some slight engine mods (dual carbs and exhaust), I'll be satisfied. I'd just like to cruise a little closer to 65mph without the motor breaking. Maybe I can get up your way sometime in October...
  19. Your 3.90... what did it come out of? Did you just swap the pumpkin or the whole third member?
  20. Thanks for the information. My interest in keeping my tranny has to do with additional cost, but also I didn't want to mess with the linkage. Did you have any issues with the column shift or linkage? Did you have to shorten the drive shaft?
  21. You didn't say - is yours an original setup? Alos, my manual does show a separate OD unti that looks like it bolts up to the back of the transmission. Of course, it also doesn't say what make it is. Did MOPAR ever make a separate unit that might work with my three speed tranny?
  22. I've got a 50 PU and have been wrestling with how to get a little more top speed. With my 4:11 rearend I'm only doing about 50 mph and the motor is really screaming. I've thought about changing the pumpkin or swapping out the whole third member. Someone suggested an overdrive unit. I've looked in my Motor Manual covering the fifties cars and there are many cars of that era that had overdrive, usually with a three speed, which is what my truck has. I'm guessing one of these might bolt up, but can someone tell me how they work? The manual mentions a soleniod, which I know is electrical. How do these things shift?
  23. Tim! I wondered if you were still around. Do you have anything road-worthy yet?
  24. I think your only option is a wrecking yard.
  25. Yeah, maybe we can get him to Tim's BBQ next spring. Hey! Isn't Rawg from Rio Linda?
