  1. Now that I have my oil pan and pickup, sometimes the answer is ALMOST around the corner. I have a couple of questions. 1 when I install the pickup do I put anything on the threads? 2 the pan gasket set came with 2 large O rings to cut and use for the front main cap seals. Is this necessary? Thanks Dave
  2. If you use your imagination you can use almost anything for a shifter.
  3. I bought seats from Pick And Pull out of a Dodge Caravan many to choose from cloth or leather power or non. I played less than $100 for two buckets and a bench. The bases on the buckets were a little to high for my panel truck, took the bases off and used angle iron fits nice.
  4. Did you say you have many oil pans and pickups? ?

  10. PplMy friend scrapped the motor he didn't think we'd need it anymore and he's not sure if he kept the pan. I guess the panel truck is a B4B-108
  11. So if I find the right pan do I need a sump also or can my sump be used or modified in some way?
  12. Dont know if the engine in my truck was original but it was a Plymouth 218. It was in tough shape.
  13. I have a 1952 dodge panel truck, I got it with a bad 218 motor and a 3 speed manual transmission. I recently picked up a 1953 plymouth 218 engine and 3 speed manual transmission. After reading many topics in the forum I realized the deep part if the oil pan is at the rear of the engine. The motor in the truck the deep part was in the front. Will it fit or can the oil pan be changed ? Any suggestions? Thanks Dave
  14. Thanks much appreciated!
  15. Not paying attention when I pulled the clutch off, can't remember which way the clutch came out. Flatter side toward the flywheel or the pressure plate ? Thanks for the help
  16. Cleaned out the hole then tapped the new bushing in with a brass hammer. Looks good fit well.

  18. I have a 53 plymouth 218 and a 3 speed manual transmission . When replacing the pilot shaft bushing should it be flush with the crank or all the way in at the bottom? Thanks
  19. Thanks , is that part number a mopar number? Dave
  20. I pulled my bellhousing off and the clutch and pressure plate to check the crank this is what I found any thoughts. This bushing was basically falling out . The back of the crank has gold colorings. It looks like there is still a bushing inside ?
