Yes the pickup does fit in the same place I needed a rear sump for my truck. Didn't realize the motor I found had a front sump was from a car.

Did you put your motor mount on before you put your bottom pulley on?? -
The engine and mount is out of the truck.

When putting on the front motor mount on a flathead does the bottom puley need to be removed? The motor is out of the truck. The motor mount seems to hit the timing chain cover. Look likes mount only fits one way.

This is the bottom fitting that I used in the block. The elbow in the bottom of the canister is the same thread.

I did get an elbow and changed the routing of 1 of the lines. I can remove the starter now without removing the oil line. Thanks for the help Dave

Can someone tell me if the lines look right? The line from the bottom of the filter seems to be in the way of the starter. The motor I have didn't have a filter on it when I got it. The back line seems ok. If someone has a picture it would be helpful. Thanks

Found a Wix 51071 fits well but the cover gasket is way to big. Used the old one. Thanks

The Napa filter has a raised area in the middle on the top and on the bottom. Almost 1/2 inch total.

I picked up a Napa 1010 but it doesn't seem to fit it doesn't go down far enough. It is to tell by almost 1/2 inch? There is a # on my cover which is F10-15P2 any ideas? Thanks

The cross reference of fram to Napa is 1010 Gold. Not in stock should have it Tomorrow. Thanks

Recently found an oil filter for my motor. Took it apart the clean and paint it found it has a Fram C3 filter. Is this a good filter for the old motor or should I use something different?

My latest find is a dash from a 50 DeSoto. My friend had it in his garage wanted to get rid of it it was given to me. Not sure what to do with it it might be just a wall hanging.
