pipebomb
HI ALL! Purchased this 53 plymouth a few days ago down in oklahoma. almost rust free. The badges are missing off the car. I am not sure if it is a cranbrook or cambridge...title just says 53 plymouth.... it has no holes for chrome on the fenders.. and no chrome around the windows or windsheild. looking at pics of cran vs cambridges , it looks like the cambridges didnt have chrome extras...... can anyone tell me what i have? thanks!!! Young Ed
For 51-52 the cambridge was the cheaper one with no stainless trim around the windshield. I would say its likely that continued to 53.
RobertKB
Cambridge. Cranbrook and Belvedere had a lot more trim. Belvedere is associated with the 2-door hardtop and convertible but my '53 is a four door Belvedere which was only available in Canada and only toward the end of the model year. Looks like you have a really solid project car to work on. The '53's are nice cars, ride well, and are relatively easy to find parts for. Enjoy!
