Big Truck Master Cylinder Question

Trying to locate a master cylinder for my 46 Fargo 3 ton, does anyone have any suggestions as to where I would find brake parts for a 3 ton???

not sure about the pre-48. for the 48-53, up to 2.5 ton should be the same as the 1.5 ton.

roberts lists a master for those applications, T33F, for years 30-58. $210 u.s.

not sure it would work for your 3-ton.

That's the problem, Ed...someone needed mine before I got the truck and the whole thing's gone

I think I may try a newer dual cylinder to see if it will fit and reroute the lines.

Pat if you post that to the 39-47 yahoo group someone might have a source. You can still try that shop I posted for a brand new one. My small truck new MC came from them.

Don, the truck is BIG, the master is normal sized...I think.

That looks like an auxiliary reservoir, so I'd need the other end to keep full.

Or maybe it keeps the coffee hot and theres a spigot for under the dash for refills!!!

I have a leak in my master. I'd love to put a dual master in mine also. If you come up with a number that bolts in, please share the info. Keep in mind the bore sizes when you are looking. The hydraulic pressure through the lines in partly the bore sizes. To stop equally well (did these trucks really stop well ), you'll have to maintain equal pressures.

After some emails and some phone calls, turns out Vintage Power Wagons has them on the shelf ready to go for $108. You can't hardly buy a master cylinder for a modern truck or car for that so I'm very happy.

This master cylinder has 3 mounting bolts so is a bit of an oddball.

Thanks for all the suggestions, I used them all and checked everywhere. I thought the truck was too big for VPW but some of the big troop carriers they supply parts for have the same chassis.
