Normspeed Posted October 25, 2006 Report Posted October 25, 2006 Since I'm awful with remembering names, and several of us changed our screen names for the new forum, I decided to use a simple signature in my profile. Just a thought, but it would help an absent minded geezer like me to hook up the old with the new if the folks with new screen names added their real names to the signature area. Quote
Brad Lustig Posted October 25, 2006 Report Posted October 25, 2006 I second that idea. A lot of name changes due to the limitations on the length of names. If you've had to change your name from the old forum, how about letting is know who you are at least for a little while. My new screen name is Brad Lustig. It was Brad Lustig on the old forum. I know it's a stretch but hopefully everyone will be able to make the association. Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted October 25, 2006 Report Posted October 25, 2006 Brad WHO????? The signatures might be disabled ???? Not sure about that, tho. Quote
bob_amos Posted October 25, 2006 Report Posted October 25, 2006 i have to agree. I have a tough time with names too. Hey, if it weren't printed on my work uniform I'd probably forget my own name. Anyway, I did the same with my signature. Hope it'll help us guys remember who we are talking to, or about.... Quote
Brad Lustig Posted October 25, 2006 Report Posted October 25, 2006 Just figured out that signatures ARE hidden by default. I have just added a signature and checked the box to show signatures. Quote
Young Ed Posted October 26, 2006 Report Posted October 26, 2006 Norm I just went and turned on show signatures in the UserCP. I can see yours and the others just fine. Now off to create my own. Quote
martybose Posted October 26, 2006 Report Posted October 26, 2006 Don't be afraid to mess around with some of the formatting options with the signatures, some are kind of interesting! Marty Quote
