Furylee2 Posted June 10, 2008 Report Posted June 10, 2008 I need to put a water pump on my 41 (original 201 cu in engine). Anyone purchased one recently? I searched the forum, but only saw water pumps for the 218 CID engines. I looked at the usual suspects (Rockauto.com and NAPA online). Rock auto only goes back to 1949, and NAPA only listed a Dodge Truck for 41. It did have the water pump (NWP 55713) for the 201 CID L6 engine. Is the Dodge pickup engine the same as the Plymouth (could I use that water pump)? Thanks, Lee Quote
Young Ed Posted June 10, 2008 Report Posted June 10, 2008 The 41 truck should have had a 218 but I believe the water pumps interchange. Even the 49 one from rock auto should work. You are still in the external bypass years. Quote

Arthur1947 Posted June 10, 2008 Report Posted June 10, 2008 I found a rebuilt one at Kragen for $61. Best. ARTHUR Quote
Furylee2 Posted June 14, 2008 Author Report Posted June 14, 2008 Well, I just got an email from NAPA canceling my order. I talked Denny, my mechanic buddy, and he called his NAPA source, and they couldn’t find one on the shelf in any NAPA store, or any warehouse. So I just ordered the 49 water pump from Rock Auto. About the same money, shipping was a little more. Hopefully they’ll come through. Lee Quote
