martybose Posted May 28, 2008 Report Posted May 28, 2008 That's a classic pricing strategy from Frank Mitchell. Come to think of it, he must have been asleep on this one, as he is usually about 5 times market value! Marty Quote
steveplym Posted May 28, 2008 Report Posted May 28, 2008 Whoops!, I just bought the exact same thing from Roberts a few months back for $7. Didn't know they were available anymore. Quote

First place to check is always your local "good" auto supply store. A couple of reasons: 1. An amazing number of items they still stock or can get from the warehouse the same or next day. Beats paying shipping from a antique specialty vendor. 2. There is a very good chance that if they have the part it will be cheaper than the antique specialty vendor. 3. It is nice to keep your locally owned retailers in business. Quote
Don Coatney Posted May 29, 2008 Report Posted May 29, 2008 When push comes to shove' date=' [/quote']Guess I am a doubting Thomas but I am trying to get back to the basics. I dont want this to become a cock and bull story nor for anyone to get caught with there pants down but I may appear to be the devils advocate but instead I am a diamond in the rough. I think it is time to face the music before someone has a field day with this and takes it the full monty which only happens in a blue moon. Excuse my French but we need to get down to brass tacks. With all this hocus pocus I can see the hand writing on the wall. Hold your horses Houston, we have a problem. I am not the new kid on the block but off the cuff and for the record I need to know what "When push comes to shove" means. As a rule of thumb I wonder if someone is pulling the wool over my eyes? Remember the truth will set you free so I want to hear the whole nine yards straight from the horses mouth. To make a long story short I will probably have to wait until the cows come home to find out who let the cat out of the bag. Last but not least thats all folks, end of story, I will pipe down and play it by ear and wash my hands of it. Quote
