NatesSedan Posted May 18, 2008 Report Posted May 18, 2008 We left the lock in place and taped it. We spent many hours sanding and as a result I have no fingerprints left We got primer on yesterday and plan on on second coating the primer and jamming our paint today! We knocked out the bumps and dents with hammed and dolly and finished with a polyester 2k filler. I have to say after the first coat of primer we "dun good!" Quote
JIPJOBXX Posted May 18, 2008 Report Posted May 18, 2008 The locking mechanism is attached with screws on the inside of the door. Jon Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted May 19, 2008 Report Posted May 19, 2008 Set screw that is accessed by a smallish hole in the door edge. Is a hex head screw. Trouble is......they are usually rusted enough they won't turn. Most people end up drilling them out....but easy to get off center and that screw is tough. Quote
Don Coatney Posted May 19, 2008 Report Posted May 19, 2008 What are the advantages of doing body work in the buff ? Reg; You missed it in this picture. You could have been laying in the sun nude while your wife Lisa does the body work. Quote
Reg Evans Posted May 19, 2008 Report Posted May 19, 2008 Actually Don, I was sandblasting in the nude when Lisa came out and yelled OH GOD.....PUT YOUR CLOTHES ON ! Look what the flying sand has done to your body. You're having an allergic reaction.....You're all swelled up. She was right and even though this happened a few years ago the swelling still hasn't gone down much. Quote
