David Maxwell Posted May 16, 2008 Report Posted May 16, 2008 ...messing too much with it. I did play around with my Bob's Big Boy (or should I say Tony's) pic today. Not done, but I kinda like where it's going. Had to add a little noise to the image to match the car hop's texture. Quote
Allan Faust Posted May 17, 2008 Report Posted May 17, 2008 And, you could put this sort of a pic on the back of the T shirt...... Your horizon has gotta be straighter Bob.... that from a photographer's husband..... Allan Quote

The A&W in the town I used to live in would hire cute teenage girls and college co-eds on the spot rather than taking the risk that they find another job somewhere else. I wondered if he offered a small college scholarship, or a better pay package than other summer employers in town so I asked a carhop once why she worked at A&W and not at an office or another restaurant. She let me in on the secret, and told me that she was hired immediately when she came in and asked for an application. Her smile was her interview. Quote
David Maxwell Posted May 17, 2008 Report Posted May 17, 2008 I would have found a younger car hop... Just like the color, outfit and pose of that pic. Can't miss with a Vargas head! Quote

Oooops!......Here we go again...LOL! Quote
greg g Posted May 17, 2008 Report Posted May 17, 2008 To my knowledge there is no Official "T" Shirt made or sold by the Site. However if you go to the site's main page, and got to the downloads section, there is a File for a high resolution copy of the Standard Red Block logo. GTK has I believe given permission to folks to download that image and use it for making transfers or silkscreen patterns. So you can indeed make your own, If you make a batch and happen to sell any, I would suggest you make a bit of the price an amount to donate back to GTK for site support. Quote
Captain Neon Posted May 17, 2008 Report Posted May 17, 2008 Just a thought, but we can set up a Cafe Press account using these logos, and any proceeds raised can go to the site. It takes quite a few sales for Cafe Press to cut a checque so I don't know how much money could actually get raised, but that is an option for folks that would rather just order a finished shirt. I'd be happy to set up the account, and the higher resolution I can get on the suggested graphic designs the better. I will do what I can to get special requests available for limited times so that those wanting a shirt, or anything else, with special graphic combinations can get what they like. I'm no Photoshop wizard so graphic requests will have to be complete as I will not manipulate them. Let me know. Quote
Captain Neon Posted May 17, 2008 Report Posted May 17, 2008 Want a P15-D24 t-shirt? Check out this website: http://www.cafepress.com/P15D24 Want something special? Get me the graphic and what you are considering, and I will see what I can do. Proceeds will be donated to the continued operation of the P15-D24 website, but prices are set as low as possible to accomodate as many people as possible. Quote
greg g Posted May 17, 2008 Report Posted May 17, 2008 they do static cling thingies??? Don't do T shirts. To much dunlops syndrome. Quote
Captain Neon Posted May 17, 2008 Report Posted May 17, 2008 Best they can do is stickers and magnets. They do have caps, sweatshirts, and golf shirts. A round logo opens up more possibilities because one cannot effectively fit a square peg in a round hole: Denim shirts, jackets, polo shirts, and buttons. Quote
daddyo23 Posted June 19, 2008 Report Posted June 19, 2008 My wife ordered one for Fathers day. She got me the one with the silhouette on the left chest and the P15-D24 logo on the back. Very nice! I'm going to go to Back to the Fifties this weekend and you can be sure I'll be wearing it. Wayne P. Quote
Norm's Coupe Posted June 19, 2008 Report Posted June 19, 2008 I would have found a younger car hop. Is this car hop young enough for ya? Quote
Captain Neon Posted June 19, 2008 Report Posted June 19, 2008 Is this car hop young enough for ya? Yeah, she's right up my alley. I'd go to Sonic a whole lot more if she was bringing my food and drinks. Quote
