This is a switch that was lying on the fllorboard. It pulls out like a light switch. I don't see any provision for a fuse, and theres a lamp socket on the side opposite of the wire connections.

Edit

Give me a minute, the file is too large!

Dan, that's a normal Plymouth headlight switch. The round item on the rear

is the fuse holder....appears to be missing the top half that holds the fuse in.

I'll take your word for it.

The round part on the bottom has slots and turn locks just like a lamp socket. Do you have a picture of what's supposed to be there?

I don't know about that being a headlight switch Bob. It also has a socket for a small light bulb. My headlight switch doesn't look anything like that. I have no idea what that switch is for.

Dan, maybe it's like the box of parts that was in the trunk of my coupe when I bought it. I think sellers include boxes of parts like that just to drive us nuts trying to figure out what they are. I found parts in the box in my trunk that had nothing to do with my coupe.

Definitely a headlight switch. The thing on the end that looks like a bulb socket is the bottom half of a fuse holder.

The arm sticking out towards the back is the power terminal to the headlights. You can see how it is connected directly to the circuit breaker under it.

It may not be for a P-15, but its definitely a headlight switch.

That's quite possible.

I got three buckets of parts and an extra transmission with this one.

The contacts are all connected when you pull the switch all of the way out. Nothing is connected when you pull it out to where you would for parking lights. I'm tempted to take it apart and see if I can make it work.

Does anyone have a picture of how it looks with the entire fuse holder in place?

Looks exactly like the headlight switch in my 41 Plymouth. The other half of the fuse holder is just a short tube with small tabs to fit into the slots.

Sorry, no pictures available.:(

OK>>>> here's a pic of a P15 headlight switch. You can see the fuse

holder pointing down. This has the top half of the fuse holder in place.

There are two studs that point toward the rear,

and 4 round connectors that accept the bullet ends on headlight wires.

I have 3 or 4 of the switches.....all look just like this.

You might be able to remove that fibre top cover that is held on by tabs

and clean the contacts.....might get it to work. Or spray some contact

cleaner in thru the shaft opening and work it back and forth for a while.

Probably at an auto supply....now what i can't remember without looking in

the book is if it's 20 or 30 amp. Just a standard auto fuse.
