Hi all, I have been silently watching the forum for the last year as I have played hell getting Magoo finished. Bottom line is that my "investment in my friend" did not pan out and I had to pull it from him last August. So much for being a great friend and providing seed money to start a venture. Lesson Learned:(

Magoo spent the winter in the very capable hands of Xtreme Restorations by Todd Lewis in Slatersville RI. I am happy to report that after much rework we are off to the interior shop on May 2nd.

We had an issue with the motor in that Shot Peen was discovered in to the oil pan after the initial 10 minute run up...ARGH...so like everything else it is being redone as I write this.

About 100 photos are here if anyone has any interest.

I want to publicly thank Blueskies for his assistance over the year as I have reached out to him for guidance off board and really appreciate his help and encouragement.

Completion photos will be posted on or before June 10th.

Thanks Howard....I almost sent you a note the other day asking the question ....... "What's up?" It must have been the right time to report. I like what I see. I will be very very interested to see your specs on the Currie rearend. I've been looking at a similar unit for my P18 as well and really want to know what dimensions you settled on and how they work on the road. Also, it looks like you've stayed largely with a "stock" front suspension with brake, sway bar and shock attachment mods. Again....my interest remains high on these as well. I really like how the dash is coming along and hope the engine problems get worked out to your satisfaction. Thanks for jumping back into view with the update.

Its looking good. Shame to have paid for poor work that needed to be redone.

I've done that myself but generally the poor quality work was something I did myself. It usually takes me a couple of tries to learn new things. :)

You car looks like it will we great when it is done.

That's gorgeous!!

Can you expound on the front stabilizer bar? (my big werd for the year)...it looks like it came that way from the factory...very nice.

That looks great. This is my first time seeing the car, as I wasn't on the board a year ago...

I love the engine details, and the dash and steering wheel are incredible.

Didn't read EVERY caption, but it looks like there's some pretty heavy pearl in the paint.

It is out of a Toyota and fit right in.

From Todd at Xtreme:

Correction on sway bar.: 1970-71 Dodge Challenger or Cuda rear sway bar with 8 3/4 rear end is what we used in the front of your car. Todd:)

I have already modified my extra dash to receive the same Classic Instruments you are using, however I have not ordered them yet.

Could you tell me what tank unit you are using for the gas gauge. They do not have an exact match to the stock unit. One close I think.

thanks
