central52 Posted January 27, 2008 Report Posted January 27, 2008 I checked out these two places for prices on a few items. Len Dawson wants $115 for a headlite switch for a 47 Plymouth. Valley Vintage wants $40. Len Dawson wants $4 for an air cleaner to carb gasket, Valley Vintage only wants $2. Has anyone out there done business with these 2 places, and if so, want are your opinions and recommendations? They both seem to have a very extensive inventory, compared, to say, Andy Bernbaum. Norm's Coupe Posted January 27, 2008 Report Posted January 27, 2008 Well Ed................ With that kind of price difference for the headlight switch, I think I would go with Valley Vintage. Even if his are not as good as Dawson's, you can afford to buy 3 switches from Valley compared to the one from Dawson's. It's a no brainer to me. I've never bought anything from either of them. Quote
Guest P15-D24 Posted January 27, 2008 Report Posted January 27, 2008 In the rare instance when I have had a problem they have both taken care of it. Quote
Dodgeb4ya Posted January 27, 2008 Report Posted January 27, 2008 Len Dawson has been in the NOS Mopar business for years and years. I`ve met him and bought parts from him for some customers cars. His prices are TOO HIGH, but they are clean nice NOS parts. He has a large -extremely well organized inventory of NOS Mopar parts in a spotless warehouse building. He is a perfectionist type of guy. Guess thats why he charges a LOT! He`s honest to deal with though! Bob Quote
