Don Jordan Posted January 13, 2008 Report Posted January 13, 2008 I'm not going to promise that I'll be able to do this. I got one picture up once. It seems all my pictures are too big and it's only by trial and error that I get them reduced. But there are lots of MoPars. I will try to figure out how to get one or two on the forum. Other wise I'm not sure. Here goes. I've got more pix of different years - again, if you're interested I will try to post them. The place is called Turner's Wrecking in Fresno, CA. It was worth the 2 Quote
Don Jordan Posted January 13, 2008 Author Report Posted January 13, 2008 My wife was speaking to me as I was typing and forgot to finish the sentence. What I was about to say is it was worth the 2 hour drive. I got 2 usable fenders. A very clean valance from between the body and rear bumper. 2 door strikers. I passed on some door glass but it was there. Now the other thing is I managed to get the pictures posted but they are so small it's hard to see the detail. I'll keep trying. I would have walked around more but last week there was a massive rain shower and the whole lot was a sea of mud and I couldn't get to a lot of the cars. a side note: None of the cars looked wrecked - they all had pretty straight bodies. I'll try to see if I can get a bigger picture to load. sorry Quote

oldmopar Posted January 14, 2008 Report Posted January 14, 2008 Nothing that I know of near me with a yard like that I would gladly drive 2 hrs for that collection of parts. Quote
Normspeed Posted January 14, 2008 Report Posted January 14, 2008 Looks like some good stuff there. Do they allow you to do your own removal work? Quote

pflaming Posted January 14, 2008 Report Posted January 14, 2008 I live 30 minutes from Turners. Their number is 559 237 0918, ask for Jerry. His yard covers about 80 acres and he knows what he has. Prices are fair but I do NOT think you can pick your own parts. Was there on Saturday for some parts for my 89 Blazer. Saw a very nice late 30 mid 40 Desoto four door sedan. Turners is in Fresno CA. Rust is not common here, about 15 inches of rain a year, my father always said it was "drier than a pop-corn fart" in Fresno. Quote
49DODGEBOY Posted January 14, 2008 Report Posted January 14, 2008 Don, thank you for even thinking of getting this info out to all of us. It's the reason I dig this Mopar specific site so much. Fresno is about 3to4 hrs for me but well worth it for a yard like that. Will they let you just walk around in it? again, thx Quote
Dennis Hemingway Posted January 14, 2008 Report Posted January 14, 2008 Here is Turners web site. Dennis http://www.turnersautowrecking.com/ Quote
