Young Ed Posted January 3, 2008 Report Posted January 3, 2008 I say buy it if you've got room to park it. As soon as it warms up a little I've got a p15 to finish parting out. Maybe this weekend I'll go scrounge some more parts off it. Supposed to be 40! Quote
daddyo23 Posted January 3, 2008 Report Posted January 3, 2008 Let me know you what you come up with, Ed. I'm still looking for a couple pieces. Wayne P. Quote
Norm's Coupe Posted January 3, 2008 Report Posted January 3, 2008 Fred, Personally, I would not want a parts car around. That's only because I don't have a suitable place to put it though. If you have the room and don't mind taking it apart, and it's cheap enough, I agree with Ed, buy it. It's worth the money for extra fenders, and other sheet metal parts, etc., without the pot metal. Back to the vent ducts for a minute though. One other purpose/advantage of the dual heater system is the cowl venting system. With the dual system, it allows you to close the cowl vent under the dash, leave the outside cowl vent open for fresh air to go through your kick panel vents. Any water from rain coming into the cowl vent is drained out a hose under the hood. If you don't have the dual system, the water may leak into the passenger compartment when the outside cowl vent is open. Quote
Young Ed Posted January 3, 2008 Report Posted January 3, 2008 Wayne just keep in touch. I keep collecting spare parts I just got a box of leftovers back from the childrens theatre-I helped them get a p154dr together for a play. Also it should be noted you don't have to have dual heaters to have the fresh air system. There were 3 levels. The cheap pass side one, the fresh air pass side system and then the fresh air system for both sides. Quote
55 Fargo Posted January 3, 2008 Author Report Posted January 3, 2008 Hi Norm , I have a 2.5 acre yard, so room is no problem, my neighbours are not close either, but the county does not want a lot of derelict cars in peoples yards either. Here is a pic of one small back corner of my yard, must be about 1/10 of the actual yard, so plenty of room at the other far end for parts cars etc, but I do not like eyesores either.............Fred Quote
277 HEMI Posted January 3, 2008 Report Posted January 3, 2008 This is what the back side looks like, all steel and will not fit a p15 fender opening. They are for sale to because I can't use them on my car. Quote
central52 Posted January 4, 2008 Report Posted January 4, 2008 I just saw on e-bay a pair of kick panels configured for the dual heater set-up. Looks to be in fairly good shape. Ed P. Quote
Ed Griffin Posted January 4, 2008 Report Posted January 4, 2008 Bill of Vancouver, you said " On the 4-door sedans the rear quarter windows are longer on the S-C than on the P-D models." Do you mean the rear vent windows or the rear door windows? Imagine you mean the vent windows but want to make sure. Took parts off a Windsor prob 5 yrs ago and was soon planning to replace one of the rear vent windows on my Dodge with one off the Windsor. They are "put away" somewhere or I would measure them to check but since the suject is in the air.... . Ed Quote
