Tim, The $149 I mentioned isn't for the existing taillights, it's for their next product, the center stop light, which won't be available until February. Marty Quote

Captain Neon Posted December 17, 2007 Report Posted December 17, 2007 Technostalgia may want to consider using 6v LEDs or include a small 6v to 12v transformer in the guts. I have seen them places. I can't be the only P15 owner that has passed on these taillights simply because they aren't available in 6v+. Quote
Norm's Coupe Posted December 18, 2007 Report Posted December 18, 2007 Technostalgia may want to consider using 6v LEDs or include a small 6v to 12v transformer in the guts. I have seen them places. I can't be the only P15 owner that has passed on these taillights simply because they aren't available in 6v+. Since I had already converted my backup lights to 6 volt LED stop and turn signals, I contacted Technostalgia about them doing the same with the new tail lights right after they came out with the 12 volt ones. I even went so far as to tell them how I did it and simple it was with resistors. Their reply. "We cannot make them in 6 volt at this time because they are not set up for it." In short, they must feel they'll sell more 12 volt ones, and it won't be profitable to make them in 6 volt. It's funny how my son was able to do it for me without being set up to do it. Quote
