Hello
I would like to replace the rear axle of my 54 Chrysler Windsor Newport.
Which rear axle can I use with drum brakes?

I assume you intend a complete rear axle swap and not just an axle shaft.  One or your previous posts mentioned the car was boarded in some state in the US unless you meant bought.  If it's currently in Austria I'd suggest a hunt through the local salvage yards for an axle with the same lug bolt pattern and close to the same track width from a common brand vehicle.  Maybe Jeep Cherokees or Ford Rangers or Explorers are plentiful or possibly Mazda pickups.  Land Rovers may be an option as well but I don't know their wheel pattern.

Volvo have a pretty stout rear ends with correct bolt pattern .  I had a 940 turbo that had ford wheels on it. But it had disc brakes.  If Jeep Cherokees or Grande Cherokees are available they would be worth a look. How about Vauxhal Van's, Sprinter, etc?
