I've seen these in the brochures, but here is a real pilot-house garbage truck, fully restored. If I brought it home I don't know how I ever would explain it to the wife.

Good one! I remember seeing this for sale someplace before-maybe in the ATHS Wheels of Time. Very expensive as I recall-that would present additional problems explaining it to the little woman! Mike:D

thats interesting, I have the one-ton but mine has 6 bolt rims and smaller fender flares, is that cause this one is a 48? or is it because it is bigger?

larger than a 1-ton. should have actual fender flares, rather than a one-piece fender with a built-in flare.

also, note the distance between the running board and the bottom of the door. on the order of 8 inches, rather than 2 or 3.

at least 1.5 ton.

That is incredible. My wife bought me (years ago) a brouchere of all the different dodge trucks, it folds open into a big page. One of the trucks is a garbage truck. I always told my honey that my goal is to have one of each in my toy box some day. That is the only one I have ever seen!
