Why I am asking is because I'm building a tube axle and need to know at what inclination I need to weld the kingpin bosses. PS. desoto1939 Posted December 22, 2023 Report Share Posted December 22, 2023 why are you building a tube axle when this car has independent front suspension. Just rebuild the upper and lower control bushings and then replace the tie rod ends. I still have the original suspension in my 1939 desoto that has over 100000 mile and it still tracks straight and also the original king pins. Why mess with something that has proven it works.
