Tired iron Posted December 14, 2023 Report Posted December 14, 2023 Okay, maybe this is a silly question, but, what is the ignition light next to the key switch for? Is it like the classic alternator light that comes on when you turn the key on (or the engine kills?) I ask because I'm finishing the wiring repair on my 1950 Meadowbrook and I've not had the pleasure of driving this car around yet! Quote
Sniper Posted December 14, 2023 Report Posted December 14, 2023 I hope you are doing this rewire with a manual handy. That manual should answer your question. Looking at my Plymouth manual, it's nothing more than a light to light up the ignition switch area so you can see it at night, 1 Quote
Solution JerseyHarold Posted December 14, 2023 Solution Report Posted December 14, 2023 In my experience, when you turn on the parking lights the keyhole switch is illuminated also. 2 Quote
Tired iron Posted December 14, 2023 Author Report Posted December 14, 2023 Yep, have the manual. When the schematic called it an ignition light I was thinking something that was giving me info, not literally just illuminating the switch! Thanks, you guys. Quote
