Says the tubes are tested and do work. Does not have any vibrators (radio style) available. I bought a set from him sometime back, but have never put them into a radio.....just got for spares if I get in the mood to fix a radio.

Sorry, don't know how to attach pics

EDIT: mine is a Philco C4608-122

EDIT 2: used search function. Figured out pic posting.

Man......this thread was started in 2007.  Information is still valid, however.

Son in law Dale knows some fellow in Kansas City who (in his spare time) can work on

these old radios.  I think he' s going to go thru a couple of ours and install the new style

vibrator (which I think costs about $30) and install a jack to run a mp3 player or iPod

thru the radio.  By running a player thru the system, you can play old timey music in

your car at shows......and/or also listen to it while driving.  Usually not much exciting,

in my opinion, to hear on A.M. radio.

There is another Kansas City man, whom I see at the Springfield swap meet,  who works on and

sells old car radios.  I will have to look for his card if anyone is interested.  Have no idea what he

charges for his services.

There's a guy in Calif somewhere, I think Bob's Radios, who does am/fm conversions and

other upgrades.  Probably not cheap.

The first place to start on these oldies, as I understand it, is to replace the old capacitors.

Second probably the vibrator.  I think tubes can last a good long while.  There is, or was,

someone out there making reproduction glass dial faces for our old MoPar radios.  I notice

they sometimes get cracked, or the painting wears off from age and exposure.
