If you want to move into the 21st century Redline tranny lubricants such as MT90 and MTL are a great choice. They solved crunchy shifts in my '48 Plymouth. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00NTEWQ1U?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details 2 Quote

Kilgore47 Posted September 26, 2023 Report Posted September 26, 2023 Whatever you use just make sure it is brass friendly. Some of the modern fluids have additives that will damage the brass in these old transmissions. Quote

If your car is similar to the P15 here is one source: https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=10593924&cc=1486874&pt=10335&jsn=379 Quote
