Mark G Posted February 16, 2023 Report Posted February 16, 2023 getting into the tune up stuff. I've found out the hardway to order this stuff with the distributor #'s the owner got the wrong stuff so far I've tracked down the correct stuff I have a IAT 4101 DISTRIBUTOR. NAPA NUMBERS for all # CAP AL106 ROTOR L107 POINTS CS719A CONDENSER AL869 Can anyone verify these numbers, last question are you using solid wire plug wires or the more modern shielded wires thanks Quote
greg g Posted February 18, 2023 Report Posted February 18, 2023 No radio in my car. Using universal non resistor wires from tractor supply. Going on 50 k miles with no issues. Ordering tune up parts by dist number has been discussed here several times. In the maintenance section of this site, I think I have seen the various permutations detailed and charted. Although the distributors are interchangeable the parts aren't. Interchange does not apply to long block and short block applications. The drive tang for the 25 inch is longer than the 23.5. Distributor work is best done with the dist. on the bench or in a vise. 1 Quote
