Roscoe Clyde Posted September 23, 2022 Report Posted September 23, 2022 Got the rebuild kit for my carb. Thanks for the recommendations, by the way. And now I getting it all back together. Got one issue though. Having all kinds of trouble getting that snap ring in over the accelerator pump check ball. Is there some sort of trick or just something I missing? Any advice would be most appreciated. It's the 3-106 carb. Thanx, Roscoe Quote
DJ194950 Posted September 23, 2022 Report Posted September 23, 2022 Find a socket that fits almost snug in the pump bore? start lock ring in the bore as straight as possible and Make sure where the open ends of the snap ring are away from the inside edge where the ball sits. Worth a try or two? Or many tries with two angled ended picks. It will work but is a pita!. DJ 1 Quote
rallyace Posted September 24, 2022 Report Posted September 24, 2022 The balls are NOT the same size. The smaller one goes in the accelerator pump. Quote

Roscoe Clyde Posted September 24, 2022 Author Report Posted September 24, 2022 Thank y'all. I got it in. Now according to the book the 3/16" ball is accelerator pump inlet and the 1/8" is for pump discharge. New issue. My carb is missing the fast idle lever return spring. Can I get that somewhere? Quote
