Greenbomb Posted September 11, 2022 Report Posted September 11, 2022 I’ve had health problems for several years keeping me out of the shop, but am feeling better and am going to try getting back at it. I have a ‘50 Plymouth SD coupe and am installing an OD. I need a kick down switch and mounting bracketry, an OD relay and a horn relay. Can anyone point me to those things? Any help or info will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Greenbomb 1 Quote
Go Fleiter Posted September 11, 2022 Report Posted September 11, 2022 (edited) Ask George Ashe, our OD - Guru. He is my age, but his son too seems to be in his business. I don' t have more infos on hand with my holiday survival equipment. I didn' dare to install the original kick down funktion! A heavy hit switch has to be fixed on the carburator which may not like this brute force. Also regarding my old iron I didn' t want to have the ignition suddenly grounded and the OD relay swiched off to unengage the OD. Heroic acceleration is not what seems adaquate today for yesterdays cars for me. Greetings from Asti, Italy! Go Edited September 11, 2022 by Go Fleiter Quote
Young Ed Posted September 11, 2022 Report Posted September 11, 2022 Check Ford vendors for the two OD pieces Quote
Greenbomb Posted September 27, 2022 Author Report Posted September 27, 2022 Thanks for the info. Sounds like several car manufacturers used the same 3rd party od. Quote
