Crazyred Posted August 27, 2022 Report Posted August 27, 2022 The 1934 - 201 i have calls for a 602539 for a cast iron head. It had a Victor 886 i removed that needs replacing but can take a Victor 886, Best Gasket 514C, McCord 5766. I located a mccord 6085 not in person though. Does anyone know if this will work for my block? Quote
TodFitch Posted August 28, 2022 Report Posted August 28, 2022 Looks like you got some head gasket cross references from my website. I don’t have a reference that shows what a McCord 5766 fits. If it is for 1935 or later Plymouth it will not work on the 1933-34 engine. The 1933-34 is a narrower block than the 1935 and later. . . Quote
9 foot box Posted August 28, 2022 Report Posted August 28, 2022 Using the years of the car and the 602539 part number, olsongasket.com came up that they sell Best gaskets as a set or individual. A seller on eBay has 7 for sale @ $78.75 and 2040-parts.com has one for $30.00. So, they are still available. Olson might be able to answer your interchange question. Quote
Crazyred Posted August 28, 2022 Author Report Posted August 28, 2022 @TodFitch yeah sorry I didn't reference your site ply33.com but that's were I found the gasket numbers. I can now confirm that this mccord 6085 gasket is for the later 23" blocks which are slightly wider than the 33 and 34 years. I did meet a very nice gentleman who has many nos plymouth parts. The 6085 gaskets are in great condition, so if any one is looking for some he has several for sale. @9 foot boxthanks for sending over the leads I will give them a look. On to the next search........... Quote
