Howdy all

I am putting my 1949 one ton back on the road after sitting for way too long…

What are your recommendations for tires? I don’t mind bias ply. The truck is all stock. And will stay that way so long as I can keep finding parts. I have owned the truck since 1987 when my uncle gave it to me. It has been in the family since new.

Thanks all-look forward to your tire suggestions.

and on yours, it doesn’t look like you’ll need to worry about the rears rubbing together  ?

I’ve got a ‘47 single wheel one ton, from what I understand there are two different one ton budd wheels for these, members of another forum were saying there’s one for single wheel (less offset) and a different one for duals with more offset.
Does anyone know anything about that? I’ve never heard any confirmation or offset difference numbers.

The main idea being, when looking for a spare, make sure it’s the same.
