I have several each of Starters, Generators, Water Pumps and Master Cylinders.

Wondering what you all do about them?

I am taking the starters and generators down the hill tomorrow to be tested.

I know all three starters 'work' some better than others as far as time to top speed,

more wondering about current draw and efficiency. I have no way to test the generators.

I have four water pumps, not all are the same. one is disassembled, it was from the original engine.

Do you rebuild these or are they available over the counter and worth the $$ paid?

Best source for rebuild kits or replacements, which ever route is the best to go?

Three brake master cylinders, same question rebuild or replace, looks like the original (not rusted) has been gone through,

not sure to what extent, doubt it was rebuilt.

i bought a waterpump last year over-the-counter (well, on-line, but whatever [i think it was rock auto]); so far, so good.  hasn't leaked, and all the holes aligned correctly, etc.  edit: i guess the water pump was earlier this summer, not last year...

i also purchased a new master cylinder a year ago (via Roberts Motor Parts) also on-line.  again, it fit correctly, works correctly, and doesn't leak like the old one did.

i don't have a generator.  the truck had been converted to 12v when i purchased it, and i'm happy with the one-wire delco alternator in it.
