Ford and Toyota use that type of rear end where the center section removes. Pre-my-time, others could have used that type also I guess. My advice would be to check for mfg stamp somewhere. Different mfg's will put in differnent places. A wire brush, some safety goggles, & some brake cleaner or carb cleaner will go a long way to cleaning it up to look.

Often in the summit / Jegs racing catalogs, there are pictures of gaskets in the rear axle section. Count your bolts (and watch the bolt pattern) and there might be info there too.

Doesn't quite look like a 8 3/4 rear-end. that would be late sixties. The third member looks to short. Find out yet?
